FieldSmart Collect™

All FieldSmart Collect functionality is included in FieldSmart Inspect. By combining forms and text information with geographic data, FieldSmart Collect provides a highly intelligent framework for data collection. Field users capture data by selecting from lists, filling in fields, and placing objects on a map or field sketch. To ensure flexibility, the software interfaces with a variety of devices including GPS.

FieldSmart Collect is also easy to customize. Interface dialogues and symbology are controlled by external tables so the software can be tailored to specific tasks — reflecting an organization’s language and standards.

FIELDSMART COLLECT FUNCTIONALITY

  • Selecting Collect from the menu will generate a drop-down list which includes the following:

  • Object attribute addition or correction
    • Query existing map objects to display attributes
    • Each attribute will have a predefined standardized picklist to choose from
    • User can select the attribute representing the correct data
  • Asset Information
    • Collect new graphical data by placement & geo-coding of the specific object selected
      • User can create and place a new object based on the map with symbology that corresponds to the GIS database
      • User can populate the attribute data associated with the object using the standardized picklist
    • Capture Symbology Placement using two methods either independently or in conjunction with one another
      • Placing the object on the map at the desired location using the pen or mouse
      • Capturing GPS coordinates utilizing standard GPS NIMA protocol
