FieldSmart® Design FieldSmart Design is an extension of our core automation solution. Design works in tandem with FieldSmart View, so planners and designers don’t need to operate several applications in order to complete their field tasks. Using a mobile device, distribution and transmission planners can create facility designs while at the job site. It includes access to client-defined standards and templates, or users can build their own templates as needed. Design is organized around the principle of placing compatible units on a map or field sketch. As the planner creates the design, the system automatically generates a materials list and estimates related costs. Design performs electrical calculations, incorporates task qualifiers and includes access to reference materials. One of its primary benefits is the elimination of redundant paper work – sketches don’t have to be redrawn once the planner returns to the office. Learn More.
